Long day. No time for jokes or briefings. Today’s beer is the Accusation Ale Extra Special Bitter. It tastes bitter.
For a beer that is only 5% it tastes stronger. As I do some research on ESBs I learn that they are traditionally more aggressive and more balanced bitters, both in alcohol and hop character. I didn’t realize hops have character.
Malts tend to be more toasty and fruity and despite “bitter” being in the name, ESBs usually aren’t that bitter. The key to good ESBs is balance. Knowledge is power. This beer tends to hit all of those notes though I don’t really care for it all that much.
Here’s a majestic pug. It’s 1am and I need sleep. Congratulations for making it through my worst written blog ever.
