Another long day of work has me wishing I drank before I went there. Though this is a worthy reward for the end of my night. I’ve just opened up the Phoenix Gold Lager. Shoutout to Kristi and Dan for letting me use their gingerbread house as a prop for my pic!
The name Phoenix pays homage to the rich history of brewing in Victoria, dating back to 1858. What began as a migration to the area in search of gold soon turned to brewing liquid gold for the people. The tradition lives on in the Phoenix gold lager. A beer that stands the test of time. The more things change, the more they stay the same. This is written on the side of the bottle and sums the beer up nicely. Crisp flavors with a slightly bitter finish makes this beer go down smoothly.
There’s not much more to say about this beer. It’s good but it’s still a lager. For what it is, I can appreciate and enjoy it. As Christmas is only 2 weeks away, here’s a fat Santa pug.
